EllaHarp Zero Waste Bustle Skirt

My zero waste skirt is a size inclusive, beginner-friendly make that comes together quickly (1 cut, <10 seams) and is a great fabric preserver of sorts, being easily picked apart without damage to your yardage. Designed as a high waist, A-line maxi or calf-length skirt (tho could be made shorter) with a V shaped back waistband, high/low hem, and secondary, two-point closure that creates a drapey, bustle-like look. (See it in motion here)

Equally suited to long, heavy fall skirts as midi, lightweight summer skirts – it’s especially lovely in linen, rayon, and flannel but works well in many fabrics depending on the look you’re going for.

Size: 22-56″ waists
Difficulty level: beginner

Zero paper waste so no need to print or tape, written instructions are supplemented by a full construction video linked in the PDF for visual learners.
